Privacy Policy

Updated 12 August 2026

EATWHAT is built for ideas, not data collection. This policy describes how we handle information in line with Australia’s Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect

EATWHAT does not require an account and does not collect the food choices you spin. Like most websites, hosting and analytics providers may receive limited technical information such as browser type, device information and anonymised usage data.

How we use information

Any limited technical information is used to keep the site running, understand whether it is useful and improve it. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising.

Links to other sites

EATWHAT may link to Google Maps or restaurant websites. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which you should review before sharing information with them.

Access and complaints

If you have a privacy question or complaint, contact the EATWHAT site operator using the contact details published with the live website. We will respond within a reasonable time. You may also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

Changes

We may update this policy when the website changes. The current version and date will always appear here.
